17 Kinds of Crazy MBTI
Because understanding each other shouldn't be this hard.

“I don’t understand you!”

How many times have you heard that? Or felt that way?

Clear up the cobwebs of confusion with this in-depth look at the sixteen distinct personalities. Learn the crazy and fascinating ways you differ from those around you… and how to better understand not only yourself, but them!

Why does this person grieve alone and that one wants support? How come some people learn things instantly, but others can’t grasp how to do something “basic”? Why do some people see the forest and not the trees, or the branches and not the forest?

Glimpse inside each type’s head through profiles written based on over a decade of research, interaction with those types, and personal stories. Now, you don’t need to call your cousin “crazy.” You’ll understand what motivates them. If you want to, that is.

The Story Behind the Book

I don’t remember where I discovered Carl Jung’s personality types, probably one of those “what’s your type?” personality quizzes that were so popular on Livejournal. But I became obsessed.

I learn best by teaching, and by applying systems to fictional worlds, so I started up Funky MBTI, what became a massive Tumblr with a ton of followers, in which I taught MBTI for ten years. I answered thousands of questions about it, I delved into Socionics, I dabbled in the Enneagram, and finally, frustrated because none of the MBTI books seemed to fully address the functions or lay them out in a simple way for people to understand, reluctantly wrote this book. I say reluctantly, because it was the hardest thing I have ever done, to break down sixteen types into each of their four functions, and think about how the function changes depending on its position in the functional stack.

Over a couple of years, I collaborated with and consulted people, refined and adjusted my understanding of the functions, and finally released this book, which for a single day topped the Bestseller List at Amazon for New Releases. (My four minutes of fame!) I am so proud of it. I hope if you decide to read it, that it will help you understand yourself and others better, so that we can all get along without wanting to “unalive” (as the kids say these days) each other.

In my opinion, anything that grants you insight into self or others is a journey well worth taking, even if it’s a hard one.
